Eligibility and accounts
VakilBook is intended for practising advocates and legal professionals aged 18 or above. Registration details must be accurate. You are responsible for your credentials and activity under your account.
The service
VakilBook organises publicly available court and tribunal records into a professional diary with saved cases, cause lists, display boards, orders, Acts, notes and related tools. Permanent case links contain a public court identity in the URL fragment; they do not include private workspace material.
Accuracy and reliance
Do not rely solely on VakilBook for hearing dates, status or orders. Official records may be late, amended, unavailable or incorrect. VakilBook is not the official record, a certified copy or legal advice. You remain responsible for verifying critical information.
NotesVB cloud storage
Cloud sync for NotesVB is offered in early access to approved accounts, with a storage limit shown in the app. It works on the phone and tablet apps, not the website. Projects remain on your devices and stay usable offline; keep your own copies of important documents. Early access may change or end, and storage may be limited or turned off for accounts that misuse it.
Acceptable use
You must not bypass authentication, access another user’s private information, scrape or resell the service, circumvent restricted-record controls, misrepresent your identity or impose unreasonable load on VakilBook or official court sources.
Restricted records and official sources
VakilBook honours restrictions applied by publishing courts. Court websites are operated independently and may change, limit or withdraw access without notice.
Account termination
You may stop using VakilBook and schedule account deletion in Settings. We may restrict accounts used unlawfully, abusively or contrary to these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an availability basis and depends on third-party official sources. To the extent permitted by law, VakilBook is not liable for professional decisions, missed dates or losses caused by relying on delayed or inaccurate source records.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to mandatory applicable law.
